Why Impact Heroes Matter for Asia-Pacific’s Future

Every day, we see complex challenges across the Asia-Pacific: climate disasters, poverty, loss of biodiversity, inequality. These problems aren’t just global headlines, they’re real issues affecting millions of lives across the region.

In the face of these challenges, there are always people who choose to act. They’re the ones who gather their neighbors, who build something out of nothing, who refuse to stand still in the face of hardship. At Earth Company, we call them Impact Heroes.

Who are Impact Heroes?

Impact Heroes are people who lead change. They are people rooted in their communities—grassroots leaders, social entrepreneurs, educators, climate activists—who decide to act because they see no other choice.

What sets them apart isn’t just what they do, it’s how they do it. They work with empathy, big passion, long-term commitment, and a clear sense of purpose. They are visionary leaders, driven by bottomless passion and resolute determination, achieve paradigm shifts and build inclusive pathways for regenerative futures.

Earth Company’s Impact Hero program aims to identify and support these remarkable individuals, and walk alongside them to amplify and create lasting impact. Each year, we select a cohort of up to ten changemakers where one standout individual will receive three years of customized support including fundraising support (between US$90–150k) mentorship, coaching, and a global network of supporters/collaborators.

Why Now? Why Asia-Pacific?

The Asia-Pacific is home to more than half the world’s population (source: UNESCAP) It’s also one of the most climate-vulnerable regions on the planet (source: Asia Development Bank). But it’s not just a region of risk, it’s a region of possibility.

We believe that the people closest to the problems are also closest to the solutions. Local leaders understand their communities better than anyone else. They know what needs to change, and what must be protected.

Our role at Earth Company is to walk alongside them. To open new doors, and help their regenerative visions take root and grow stronger.

They are not only working toward regenerative futures—they are already living it, and inviting their communities to join them
