This decision was not made lightly. But after many years of learning through the Impact Heroes Support Program, we know that it is now, more than ever, time we must revamp our program to better align with our Heroes’ needs.
Over the years, we have seen how powerful the right support at the right time can be. We have also witnessed the immense responsibility changemakers carry as they sustain their teams, raise funds, respond to complex challenges, and continue to show up for their communities, often with limited resources and little space to rest.
These experiences have deepened our conviction that without supporting the Heroes’ organizational foundations and inner well-being, there’s no scaling of their impact.
So this is not a pause. This is us fully dedicating our resources to redesigning and deepening the Impact Heroes Support Program. To move forward, even farther.
In the coming year, we will focus on three key areas:
(1.) Redefine our theory of change
We will reconstruct our unique theory of change that no longer focuses on just the outer transformation of the organizations we support, but the inner transformation of the leaders themselves. We will develop our own framework to better support their journey of becoming a regenerative organization, as well as our own Impact Measurement and Management framework to better understand how we can continue to improve our program.
(2.) Update the Lead-to-Regenerate (L2R) Acceleration program
We will further develop the L2R program and curriculum to be more comprehensive and holistic, to better support our Heroes as individuals, organizational leaders, and practitioners of regenerative change.
We will strengthen the support systems around both the wider Impact Heroes Cohort and the Impact Hero of the Year by laying the groundwork for a new grant-making mechanism, building the capacity of our support team, and further expanding our network of mentors, partners, and supporters. Through this, we aim to make our support more intentional, responsive, and aligned with the realities of changemakers today.
