This year, the race took place as an official side event of the Ubud Food Festival 2026, an annual culinary celebration showcasing Indonesia's diverse cuisine, innovative chefs, and extraordinary local produce.

The event welcomed 29 participants, who formed 7 teams to take on a brand-new route while exploring organizations creating positive environmental and social impact across Bali.

The adventure began at Mana Earthly Paradise in Sayan, where participants gathered for a morning briefing before solving their first clue to unlock the race book. Armed with maps, clues, and challenge details, teams set off on foot through the scenic rice paddies connecting Sayan to Kedewatan, making the journey itself part of the experience. Along the way, they also collected litter from the rice field paths, earning bonus points while helping keep the environment cleaner.

This year's race featured 11 Impact Partners representing diverse sectors, including wildlife conservation, slow fashion, circular economy, sustainable food systems, and sustainability education. Together with Earth Company, each partner co-created interactive challenges that brought their work to life. Participants sorted donated clothing for reuse and recycling, built sturdy structures using reclaimed materials, learned about sea turtle conservation, identified local herbs and spices, and tackled many other creative missions that combined fun with meaningful learning.

The race concluded at Taman Kuliner Kedewatan, the vibrant main venue of the Ubud Food Festival. Crossing the finish line, participants were welcomed into the lively festival atmosphere, where they celebrated their achievements and continued exploring the festival's rich culinary offerings.
