COVID-19 Support in Bali
In 2020, as COVID-19 swept across Indonesia, families in Bali faced sudden job losses, food insecurity, and heightened health risks. With tourism shut down, unemployment soared above 90%, leaving elders, children, and pregnant mothers especially vulnerable to malnutrition.
With support mediated by Earth Company, including a donation of US$2,800 from Taiwanese company Touché Solutions, Bumi Sehat mobilized an emergency response to protect health and provide food security for the most vulnerable. From distributing masks and conducting tests to ensuring families had access to essential nutrition, the clinic’s efforts gave dignity and care to communities who were hit hardest by the pandemic’s effects.

Supporting the Most Vulnerable
With the fund, Bumi Sehat mobilized an emergency response. The team distributed 621 free masks from the early stages of the outbreak, conducted nearly 600 rapid COVID-19 tests, and provided food assistance to over 2,900 people — including the elderly, HIV-positive children, cleaning workers, and unemployed families. Essential staples like rice and eggs reached 200 households, ensuring that dignity and nourishment were not lost in a time of great uncertainty.
